Gareth started working in the NHS in 2009; he trained in adult nursing at Keele University and left with a BSc Hons. His first role was at University Hospital of North Midlands in the Accident and Emergency Department before making the move into primary care and training as a Practice Nurse. In 2019, Gareth completed an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice and worked for a number of local GP practices before joining the GP Federation in his current role. He feels very passionate about supporting general practice in providing the best care for patients. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family, running and watching his favourite sports.
