Dr Richard Aw
I have been exposed to medicine and medical work at an early age. All my families, my dad, mum brother and sister are in the medical profession. I always wanted to be a GP since my early days at medical school and qualified first as doctor in 2001 and then as a GP in 2006. I achieved membership of the royal college of general practitioner in 2007. I have worked in various roles in general practice and believed that the NHS is greatest asset that UK has. It is part of the reason why my parents stayed in this country. I joined the GP federation because I wanted to promote and protect primary care and more specifically our general practice which I feel is one of the best in the world.
