Dr Omar Hussain
Dr Hussain is a Keele /Manchester medical school graduate and did his GP training locally in North Staffordshire. Currently he is a GP Partner at Milehouse Medical Practice, a teaching practice for medical students and PA students. He has special interest in Acute Emergency Medicine and does 2 sessions a week at AEC UHNM . He is also clinical director of Newcastle Central PCN and this role helps him work even more closely with local member practices and the GP federation. As a federation director he is keen for the NSGPF to continue to support practice sustainability , establish long term survival of partnership models , help PCN practices to work at scale particularly at ICS and ICP level (which will have growing importance in the future), and increase local workforce provision especially with respect to ARRS roles.
He has a keen interest in football, and also enjoys playing local club cricket at weekends, with the occasional spot of home baking thrown in for good measure.
