Staffordshire Trainee Nursing Associates

Staffordshire Trainee Nursing Associates

We are pleased to announce NSGPF are taking the lead for an innovative programme working with a group of organisations in Staffordshire to focus on local patient care and helping to sustain the future workforce of General Practices. We are facilitating the recruitment of 30 new Trainee Nursing Associates within our Primary Care Networks (PCNs) across Staffordshire.

The Nursing Associate is a new role within the nursing team. Nursing associates work with healthcare support workers and registered nurses to deliver care to our patients.  To become a Nursing Associate a 2 year programme as a Trainee Nursing Associate has to be undertaken.

All university costs for the programme will be fully funded and the programme combines both academic and work-based learning in the physical, psychological and public health aspects of care, from pre-conception to end of life.  The programme is structured and gives experience a wide variety of placements across health and social care sectors in different organisations, with the aim of giving trainees the widest exposure to healthcare.

The Nursing Associate would suit a school or college leaver interested in nursing or a non-registered healthcare professional looking for the next step in your career.

The programme will commence in September 2021.
